Adobe to Apple “Ohhellnoyoumuthaf#%&indidnt!!!!”

Adobe to Apple, "Ohhellnoyoumuthaf#$%indidnt!!!!"

To add to the “Steve Jobs is a fool” theme for today… So… you know how you can’t do *ANYTHING* flash related on the iPhone and the iPod touch?  Well, there’s a reason for that, it’s Apple’s fault (I know, I know… I’m not surprised either).

Adobe has been trying to beg Apple to let them in on a Non-disclosure Agreement to get a better look at developing for the devices so they can port Adobe Flash Player to them.  Apple has refused.  So Adobe figured they’d try a more “we’ll just let your customers know this is your fault directly until you agree” approach:

“Flash Player not available for your device. Apple restricts use of tecnologies required by products like Flash Player. Until Apple eliminates these restrictions, Adobe cannot provide Flash Player for the iPhone or iPod touch.”

Honestly?  10 points Adobe.  Now if it’ll only work.

  1. I just hope it doesn’t cause other problems between them. I’d hate to see Adobe stop developing software for Mac, or see them delay the Mac versions of aps as an Apple Slap.

    • Well, I don’t think you’ll ever have to worry about Adobe abandoning Apple on the Mac platform. Mac *MADE* Adobe what it is as the development of Photoshop used to (and might still be) ported from Mac to PC.

However, this might be the face slap Apple needs. They’ve been extremely cocky about the iPhone, and rightfully so, but now it’s gotten to the point that their ego is hurting their business.

Verizon has been trying to get Apple to break exclusivity with AT&T, they didn’t, so Verizon went with the Motorola DROID and launched an iPhone slandering campaign.

Now Adobe, one of Apple’s biggest helps in terms of software suites, is pissed enough to release that??? Yeah, I’d say it’s time to realize that while the iPhone was a great innovation, it no longer stands alone and it’s time to play nice with the other children.
